Costa Rican / New York Exchange

So, I’ve been running around like a crazy person trying to get my house organized for a friend that’s coming to visit from Costa Rica. Sweet guy and he showed extreme hospitality when it was his turn to host last year. There were a lot of things that we were putting off doing for the house because of time restrictions like getting new furniture and accent pieces for the living room and over all having a living space that we would be proud to show off to someone who’s never traveled outside of his town in Costa Rica.

He’ll be here tomorrow and my fingers nails are brittle and peeling from all the cleaner that I used to clean but I’m extremely proud and happy that I was able to get so much accomplished in one night mind you after I came home from a crappy day at work….even though most days at work are crappy but that’s another post for another day.

Hopefully with this upcoming week I’ll have some good memories to document in a city that I’ve called home for so long. I can’t wait.

  1. I love inviting a guest to visit specifically because I know it will force me to finish home decorating, organizing, and cleaning projects that I’ve been putting off for ages.

I agree, the house was in excellent shape…kinda pulled it together and it felt good. šŸ™‚
