Batman: Return of the Dark Knight is a new animated Batman movie released of course by DC comics.

The storyline picks up with an older, Bruce Wayne wiping out in a car crash on a race track. He meets up with his old friend Commissioner Gordon. who worries for Bruce’s sanity. This movie deals with a more realistic side of Batman. As an older man, with no family other than Alfred and very few friends. After the release of Two Face and the general decay of Gotham’s society, Bruce has to face the decision he faced all those years ago when he first donned the mask and cowl, will he be the man the protect Gotham?

The answer is a resounding yes.

You have a full cast of supporting characters, a very witty and old Alfred, Commissioner Gordon, Two Face and villain is a band of mutants who firmly maintain that ”there is no law”.
Oh! There’s also a Robin. I won’t say who because I’d give too much away.

I look forward to Part 2. I would love to see how the develop the character stories they have set in place.

A must watch movie if you are an Batman fan. There is a lot of violence, mostly fisticuffs and it very much follows the dark universe Nolan created for the Dark Knight movies. Loved it.
