The quote alone is amazing but this is a must read for aspiring writers:
Apparently, yes. Most people seem to prefer a great story with lousy writing. It can’t be *too* lousy – it has to be workable, readable – but it doesn’t have to be great.
On the other hand, if you want to make a living you should learn how to write. Great stories come to lousy writers once in a blue moon. Great writers make great stories over and over again out of thin air.
