Today was the first time in close to two weeks that I felt in complete control of my body. Despite the cold and my weak immune system I managed to get close to what my daily walking distance today.
On sick days I take more shortcuts and generally try to find food within a 1-2 block radius at work. On regular days I try to spend at least 30 minutes of my 1 hour lunch break, walking around. I get close to 4 miles on a work day. That’s just my commute, walking around at work, lunch and my commute home.
It’s been a great way to ensure I get some exercise even if I decide to skip the gym.
This year I really want to focus on my complete health: mind, body and spirit. It’s important that all three are working at peak condition, not just one or two.
Here is to hoping that with the impending change of the weather that we can make small changes to help ourselves.
Happy Spring!
